@Ashleymerry discusses having two boys and becoming pregnant with her third child.
“Since I announced our third pregnancy… I had ALL the same comments. ‘I hope it’s a girl! Trying for the girl right? Could you handle three boys? Fingers crossed for pink!’ As a mom of two boys, this was all I heard. As I passed the 8 week mark, I could breathe a sigh of relief that my baby had a heartbeat. Blue or pink not a thought in my mind. Everyone asking me if I was hoping for a girl but all I was hoping for was a healthy baby. I started to feel that I was going to disappoint everyone if it was another boy. I hated feeling this way because my heart would be happy either way and I felt grateful God had blessed us with a new life to nurture. We found out that we are welcoming our first daughter, a baby sister. Gender is always fun and sure, everyone thinks about it… but before you make that gender comment to a pregnant mother, remember what really is most important.
