I Had A Miscarriage During Quarantine

“As I sit here, ready to hit the “share” button I am filled w/ so many mixed feelings.
.
You cannot imagine how difficult it is to share such a personal part of my life, partly because once I put it out there, I can’t take it back & now everyone will know this secret that has been weighing so heavy on me.😔
.
I can’t believe that this is my truth…
But, it is…
And I refuse to live in shame or in silence!
.
As it is, having a miscarriage tends to make women feel overwhelmingly isolated & alone. And that’s why I decided to share, because I can’t seek support from anyone if I continue to keep this a secret.
.
And, I’m sharing my story because I know firsthand how miscarriage can make women feel
Scared
So very confused
And lonely
.
But the sad truth is, that we are not alone. There are many of us. And that’s why we should talk about it. This subject should NOT be taboo.
.
We should be able to openly grieve the loss of an unborn baby just like we openly grieve the loss of a loved one.
.
We shouldn’t have to pretend we’re ok, when we’re not.
.
We shouldn’t feel alone, because we aren’t.
.
Unfortunately, I’ve been dealing with health issues surrounding miscarriage for a year now. This is our 2nd loss & now I’m ready to start sharing & hopefully help someone/anyone.🙏
.
If you are someone struggling on your journey to motherhood, my heart is with you. I wish you peace & I hope you seek support because you don’t deserve to go through this alone.”
