Yeah.. it’s tough. In my first birth, it really threw me for a loop. Everything is new and I was pretty overwhelmed with the healing aftermath. You go through 20 pads a day. Walking is literally miserable. Getting up to go to the bathroom is like a VERY big deal. Your butt hurts. Your boobs hurt. Everything hurts. You feel helpless, but also VITAL to the babies life and it’s fucking hard. All you want is a hug.
But remember mamas, always remember when you look at yourself in the mirror, or unwrap your waist support band, or notice the little drops of blood on the floor somewhere…what you did… 💓 what you created. no matter what exit your baby took to get here, it took courage, incredible mental and physical strength, and a whole lot of trust. The healing part is something to be proud of.
