My husband took this photo on my first day back to work. My son was barely out of the NICU and I was working & trying to figure out Mom life all at the same time. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I don’t think I need to explain how hard it can do here are 5 tips to make it easier:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. If you’re not breastfeeding, have bottles ready. I get enough milk for the whole day this way whenever Easton is hungry all I have to do is pop the bottle into the warmer.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Create a schedule. obviously babies don’t know your schedule so it won’t always happen the way you want but consistency on your end will make it easier. We follow the @momsoncall daily schedule to the best of our ability!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. Honor the schedule… I know roughly when my son will need to eat, nap, etc. So if I’m scheduling a meeting I stay super conscious of that. I also schedule “working windows” throughout the day… these are times in which my son will *most likely* be napping and I can power through my projects.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4. Be open with your partner about your needs! Each week we compare our schedules so we can help each other during the busiest times. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
5. Schedule creative time. I am a super creative person and I also run a business from my phone. If I don’t schedule time for me to work on those things, I end up feeling very disorganized and pulled in multiple directions. Like I said earlier… yes your schedule will be loose but make sure you have a plan ⠀⠀
