OBGYN Temeka Zore shared 6 postpartum essentials from her perspective on this very helpful Instagram Reel. We are linking all of the essentials below.
“Everyone is different and needs may vary based on whether you have a vaginal or cesarean delivery.
One item not in the video that I find essential is a good abdominal binder.
Regardless of delivery type, an abdominal binder may:
– reduce postpartum pain
– improve posture
– feel more stable in the midsection ” – Temeka Zore
1. Always Discreet Boutique
“I know mesh panties and pads are all the rage, but these adult diapers are actually really comfortable and absorbent”
2. Lansinoh Lanolin Nipple Cream
“Nipple cream to the rescue! In the early days of breastfeeding it can be common to have sore/tender and even cracked nipples. Nipple cream can help slow moisture loss from the nipples. Look for products that are safe for baby (pure lanolin is best!)”
3. Frida Mom Upside Down Peri Bottle
“The best spray bottle to use after delivery if you have vaginal tears. Use warm water and spray as you go to the bathroom to eliminate burning.”
4. Tucks Medicated Cooling Pads
“Tucks pads have a soothing witch hazel that can relieve burning and pain in irritated areas after delivery.”
“If you are breastfeeding you should be drinking about 100 OZ of water a day to support breastmilk production which is approximately 90% water.” Click here for 10 breastfeeding tips

6. Advil
“Advil is super helpful during the postpartum period to reduce pain and inflamation (obviously talk to your doctor before taking any meds!
