5 things you can do when you’re feeling stressed

STRESS!!! 😳 Did you know that stress manifests in the body? While a little stress can be healthy (yep it’s true!) chronic stress is not & can affect your nervous, cardiovascular & respiratory systems, to name a few.

Let’s dedicate our time and energy to slowing down and de-stressing. I’m sharing 5 things you can do when you’re feeling stressed, anxious or overwhelmed:

🌻 Get outside & go for a walk. Seriously even 10 minutes of a brisk walk can help clear your mind. Oh & I dare you to leave your phone at home!
🌻 Exercise. This is the one that helps me the most. If I’m ever feeling anxious, which I def do, I workout & get my endorphins pumping & blood flowing.
🌻 Meditate. This one took me a while & isn’t always easy for me but once I start I notice a weight lifting off my shoulders almost immediately. Meditation isn’t always sitting with your legs crossed, it’s about connecting with your breath & getting out of your head.
🌻 Do something you love- whether it’s cooking, reading or maybe an art project. Anything that truly makes you happy.
🌻 Put down your phone for a few hours & disconnect. Sometimes disconnecting is the only healthy way to actually reconnect, if that makes sense? I find disconnecting helps me to actually listen to my body + mind so learn to put down your phone on a regular basis & be present in whatever it is you’re doing.
